Mohamed Fawzi Kurd is the Chairman and Managing Partner of the Libyan Consultancy Group (LGC), a leading advisory and professional services firm headquartered in Libya. He brings over 16 years of extensive experience across financial advisory, audit, corporate governance, and strategic consulting throughout Libya and the broader MENA region.
Mohamed is a highly accomplished executive with a distinguished track record of leading complex, high-impact engagements for central banks, government institutions, financial organizations, and multinational corporations. He has played a key role in major financial sector reform initiatives and has contributed to strategic projects in collaboration with international organizations, including advisory engagements aligned with global standards and best practices.
His areas of expertise include financial planning and analysis, IFRS implementation, corporate governance, risk management, investment advisory, and business transformation. He has successfully led large-scale projects focused on restructuring, operational efficiency, and financial performance improvement across both public and private sectors.
Mohamed has held senior leadership roles across multiple countries including Libya, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, bringing a strong international perspective and cross-border expertise to his work. He previously chaired the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean Bank in Libya (2023–2024) and served as a strategic advisor to the Central Bank of Libya through an international consultancy initiative.
He holds an MBA in Business Finance from Rome Business School and an MSc in Accounting & Finance from Western California University. He is also professionally certified with internationally recognized qualifications including ACCA, AIA, Certified CFO, and DipIFR.
