Brian Mink is a corporate and legal executive, educator, and entrepreneur specializing in AI, data strategy, and legal innovation. He is the Co-Founder and President of Data Science Connect and serves as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Georgia School of Law and Emory University, teaching courses on legal analytics and generative AI. A former chief legal and risk management officer and legal operations director for Fortune 300 companies, Brian also practiced at Troutman Sanders, where he spearheaded award-winning innovation initiatives. A recognized expert in generative AI and legal tech, Brian holds dual academic appointments as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia School of Law and the Emory University Center for AI Learning, where he teaches courses on Legal Analytics & Innovation and Generative AI for the Workplace.
Before becoming a tech entrepreneur, Brian served in a variety of legal and executive roles. He was the chief legal and risk management officer for one of the largest extended-stay hotel chains in the U.S., and later the founding director of the Legal Operations team at a Fortune 300 freight railroad, overseeing financial, technological, and data operations across the Law Department, Government Relations, and the Corporate Secretary’s Office.
Earlier in his career, Brian was a commercial real estate attorney at Troutman Sanders in Atlanta, where he founded and led the firm’s Contract Analytics and Automation Initiative and was a founding member of the Innovation Committee. His efforts helped earn the firm the Georgia Legal Awards’ inaugural “Most Innovative Law Firm” award.
