Atty. Ira Paulo A. Pozon is a highly accomplished lawyer, businessperson, arbitrator, educator, and consultant with a strong background in international commercial law, policy advocacy, and governance. He currently serves as the Chief of Staff and Chief Legal Counsel of SEAMEO INNOTECH, an intergovernmental and interregional organization hosted by the Philippines. He previously held the role of Chief of Staff at the Anti-Red Tape Authority, where he worked on key regulatory and legislative reforms. His contributions to Philippine law and governance include drafting and advocating for major legislation such as the Ease of Doing Business Act, the Expanded Maternity Leave Act, and the New Corporation Code, among others. His professional expertise extends to public policy, automation, e-commerce, fintech, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. An accomplished academic, Atty. Pozon has taught law at both the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and the Universidad De Manila. He is also a prolific writer, serving as a columnist for The Manila Times (Philippines) and the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong, China).
