It is 28 years now since I had humbly stepped into the profession having enrolled as an advocate in 1995. This is also the twentieth year of independent practice before the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala. All along, I had focused equally on gaining professionally relevant academic credentials after basic graduation in Commerce (B-com) from the Calicut University, then in Law (LL.B) from the Calicut University and thereafter done Post Graduation in Law (LL.M) from the Mahatma Gandhi University, followed by a post graduate diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM). I could also do post graduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (PGDIPRL) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and post graduate diploma in Cyber Law (PGDCL) from NALSAR University, Hyderabad. I had also done IBM certified E-Commerce (E-com).

BAR COUNCIL OF KERALA ENROLLED ADVOCATE - JANUARY  1995. Professional Experience before High Court of Kerala, Ernakulam: Independent practice as an Advocate since 1998.

MEDIATION AND CONCILIATION PROJECT COMMITTEE, SUPREME COURT OF INDIA: Accredited Trained Mediator and Conciliator Empanelled before High Court of Kerala since 2010.

In addition, I am an Empanelled Arbitrator and Mediator of Indian Council of Arbitration, New Delhi. I am the Vice Chairperson of the Arbitration Conciliation and Mediation Council (ACMC) of the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industries, (KCCI), Ernakulam.

OTHER EXPERIENCES:

I have also been fortunate to earn due appreciation for my hard work and skills during the last decade and a half. During 2009 to 2014, I acted as the Editor in Chief (Asia) of the Publications of International Federation of Woman Lawyers (FIDA) which is affiliated to United Nation since 1954.. Another high point was presenting my UN-Approved Paper “Effective Ways to Protect Women’s Human Rights” at the 53^rd CSW of the United Nations, at New York, USA in 2009. UN had granted me 4 minutes time to present my paper. That session was attended by representatives of Member States, UN entities and of ECOSOC-accredited NGOs from all regions of the world and there were 6 language live translations available while my speech. I was also included in the Panel of Judges of the 6^th LAWASIA International Moot Court Competition 2011 (held in Seoul, S. Korea) and in the 7^th LAWASIA International Moot Court Competition 2012 (held in Bali, Indonesia) and 8^th LAWASIA International Moot Court Competition 2013 (held in Max Well Chambers, Singapore). Recently I became one of the speakers in 7^th Edition of Legal Era Conclave 2018 conducted at Hotel Marriott, Downtown, New York, USA on 23^rd and 24^th May 2018.

I have been able to author several Taxation-related law books, including on the Kerala General Sales Tax Law, Kerala Value Added Tax Law, Service Tax Law, Entry Tax Law, Luxury Tax Law and others. These were published by Kerala Tax Publishers Ltd, from 1998 onwards. My published book “Mediation – Art and science of Conflict Resolution” was fore worded by the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India, in 2010.
