Prior to joining EY Lawshe served as negotiator for the Costa Rican Ministry of International Trade (COMEX) when the free trade agreement between Central America and the European Union was negotiatedand DR-CAFTA was implemented. She also contributed to the group in charge of International Investment Disputes and International Litigation. Additionallyshe has been an advisor to the Embassy of Costa Rica in Chinaa researcher and professor at the World Trade Institutethe University of Renminthe University of Costa Rica and TEC Monterrey in Mexico.Carolina Palma holds a degree from the University of Costa Ricaas well as Master’s degrees in Law from the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich and in Economic Law and Foreign Trade from the National Distance Education University. In additionCarolina finished Doctoral studies in International Trade from the World Trade Institute in Switzerland.
